The World Bank have approved a Credit for an amount of US $ 250 Million (Rs.1550.00 crores approximately) out of the total Project cost of US $ 370 Million (Rs.2220 crores approximately) for the Andhra Pradesh Disaster Recovery Project (APDRP). The counterpart funding by GoAP will be US $ 120 (Rs.670 crores) at the ratio of 68 : 32. The APDRP Project Agreement and financing agreement were signed on 16.07.2015 by the GoI, GoAP and World Bank. The Project is effective from 28.08.2015 and Implementation period is 5 years.
Andhra Pradesh Disaster Recovery Project
The APDRP Projects Objective is to restore, improve and enhance the resilience of, public services, environmental facilities and livelihood opportunities in targeted communities of the coastal areas affected districts , specifically the four heavily impacted districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari of Andhra Pradesh and to enhance the Capacity of the State entities to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible crisis or emergency.
- Institutional and Implementation Arrangements
The State level Project Steering Committee constituted at apex level for NCRMP will oversee and monitor the overall progress of project. The State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) for NCRMP will act as the Project Management Unit for the project. The PMU will be supported by sector experts drawn from each of the Line Departments (LDs) implementing the project investments. The LDs shall be responsible for actual execution of the works and further maintain the infrastructure created. LDs will appoint nodal officers and will execute the project through respective field offices. The overall list of the various project components and respective implementing agencies is given below

Government after careful consideration, hereby accord a dministrative sanction to the “Andhra Pradesh Disaster Recovery Project (APDRP)” for an amount of Rs. 2220.000 Crores (Rupees Two Thousand and Two Hundred Twenty crores Only). Out of which the World Bank Loan is Rs.1550.00 crores and Government of Andhra Pradesh share is Rs.670.00 crores in the ratio of 68:32 as agreed in the agreement.
8.The legal documents for the Project were signed on 16-07-2015 (i.e., Project Agreement and Financing Agreement).
9.The Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue (Disaster Management) Department shall approve the annual action plan for the Project. The Project Director, APDRP, PMU and PIUs shall take necessary action for the implementation of the Project.
Procurement Procedures prescribed by World Bank in the “Operations Manual “ shall be followed for procurement of works, Goods and Consultancies.
